New ChatGPT Subscription for Teams

OpenAI recently announced the launch of ChatGPT Team, a new subscription model designed specifically for small to medium-sized teams. This move caters to the growing demand for AI-powered tools in smaller, self-managed team environments.

ChatGPT Team offers a unique workspace for up to 149 members. This plan includes access to OpenAI’s advanced models such as GPT-4, GPT-4 with Vision, and DALL-E 3. These models provide capabilities ranging from text generation and image understanding to creating visual content. Additionally, the plan offers tools for analyzing, editing, and extracting information from various files.

A standout feature of ChatGPT Team is the ability for team members to create and share their own GPTs, or custom apps, built on OpenAI’s AI models. These GPTs, which require no coding experience, can range from simple to complex applications. For example, they can be programmed to understand a company’s unique codebase, aiding developers in adhering to coding best practices.

OpenAI ensures that ChatGPT Team subscribers will receive ongoing feature updates and improvements. Importantly, the company emphasizes its commitment to privacy by not training its models on any team data or conversations.

Pricing for ChatGPT Team is set at $30 per user per month, or a discounted rate of $25 per user per month when billed annually. This pricing strategy positions ChatGPT Team between the more affordable ChatGPT Plus, priced at $20 per month for individuals, and the higher-tier ChatGPT Enterprise, which costs up to $60 per user per month for a minimum of 150 users on a yearly contract.

With ChatGPT Team, OpenAI taps into a promising market, offering scalable, advanced AI tools to a wider range of business users.
