Whether you’re a sports fanatic, a news junkie, or a movie buff, DirecTV Stream’s lineup is large. All of the familiar premium movie channels to regional sports networks are available as addons. I found this service to have my odd favorites like MeTV and Turner Classic Movies, that YouTube doesn’t have! Not to mention Fubo is one of the only services covering NESN at the moment, and this offers 4K games which totally rules.

User-Friendly Interface

The intuitive user interface of DirecTV’s streaming platform is a massive draw. Navigation is a breeze, and the search function is robust, making it easier than ever to find your favorite shows or discover new ones. I used an Apple TV primarily for testing and it was rock solid. If you want a more familiar cable box experience, you can also purchase a streaming box directly from DirecTV called a Gemini. Comes with a remote (guide button, channel surfing, etc.).

DVR Functionality

Missed your favorite show? No problem! DirecTV’s Cloud DVR feature ensures you can record and watch your top shows at your convenience. I found the storage to mostly be unlimited, but they will delete shows. Tucker Carlson got completely wiped and we has many recordings saved throughout the house. Beware things will magically go poof!
